Really good service, delicious food!

It's spotlessly clean, ideal hotel and the staff is efficient. The breakfast is served in the restaurant! The room is well-appointed and brand-new with good shower, also they can offer wake-up service. The location is perfect, as the property is based very close to town centre. There is nearby The Royal Cafe to grab some food for the dinner.

The view over Loch Ryan was fine, and the dinner portions were generous and wonderful.

The windy ridge was really nice, big room with a comfy bed n good pillows. Breakfast in the hotel was amazin, best porridge ever! Super chill vibes, and the staff were really friendly with a lovely sea view.

The room had low water pressure , made the shower kinda useless sometimes. There was a big noise from the kitchen during the night.

Perfect for family gatherings

Went for a family meal with a big group and the atmosphere was just right. The staff were helpful, especially when they catered to my Mum with her needs. Really was like they cared about us.

It wasn't exactly cheap, but the quality made up for it.

I stayed in a Double or Twin Room, and it was cozy with a comfy bed and nice pillows. The shower was a bit tricky because of the low water pressure, but it was fine overall. The room had tea and coffee with biscuits, a nice touch! Everything was clean and tidy, so. The TV had limited channels, but for just one night, it wasn't a big deal.

The stay was quite enjoyable, especially with the breakfast options that included locally sourced sausage and beautifully cooked eggs. Our family booked a downstairs room due to mobility issues, and it turned out to be spacious and comfortable. Walking to nearby attractions, such as the Stranraer Museum and Castle Of St John, was convenient, making our short trip even more pleasant.

Really good Dining Experience to Kickstart Our Trip!

During our three-night stay, we relished an lovely lunch overlooking Loch Ryan. The freshly prepared meals, coupled with attentive staff, made each bite a delight. Don't miss the opportunity to indulge in their carefully crafted menu-reservations are a must!

Waking up to views over Loch Ryan really adds an extra sparkle to the stay, especially during breakfast where the freshly cooked options are a highlight. The spacious accommodations are comfortable and clean.

Showers in some rooms need attention. Poor water pressure and awkward shower head positions. A couple of rooms suffer from warm temperatures, even after adjusting the radiator, which could be uncomfortable during peak summer. Be mindful of low-hanging electric sockets that can be a bit of a hassle for plugging in devices. There's a minor noise issue as sounds from the kitchen can reach some rooms, especially those nearby.

Enjoyed delicious meals, including a free child's course from the Children's Menu with every adult main we ordered. The overall vibe was cute and a good choice for anyone traveling in a group. Remember to book a table in advance!

The only downside was the steep stairs to access our room. It made it a bit tricky for some members of our group.

This place suits me perfectly, offering free wi-fi, a cozy bar, and helpful luggage storage. I remember how the staff accommodated my late check-in during my first visit. Aileen and Hammy are fantastic too! Highly recommend it for a weekend stay!

The craignelder had such a relaxed vibe. Staff were lovely and chatty. We enjoyed planning our meals ahead with full menus in our room. The dining area offers fine views of the bay, and the food was both good and varied. There was plenty of parking, too!
